Terms of Use

LikeShareNow lets a creator put up two pieces of their own work and lets anybody pick the one they like. These terms are the agreement between you and us. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

1. What LikeShareNow is

A creator posts two pictures (later, short videos). Viewers tap the one they prefer. When the time set by us runs out, the one with more likes is the result, the page stays up one more day, and then everything about it is deleted. It is free to use, free to watch, and there are no prizes.

The content is the creator's. We do not produce it, select it, or vouch for it. The result means bragging rights and nothing else. There is never anything of value awarded, and nothing on this site is a sweepstakes, lottery, or contest for a prize.

2. You must be 18

You need to be at least 18 to create a post. If you are under 18, do not create an account.

3. Posting: what you may and may not put up

You may only post material you own or have permission to post. This is the single most important rule here, and breaking it is the fastest way to lose your account.

That means, specifically, that you must not post:

• photographs, artwork, video, or music made by somebody else, unless they have given you permission;
• a video with a song playing in it that you do not hold the rights to — including as background, from a radio, or in a clip you filmed somewhere music was playing;
• anybody who has not agreed to appear. If a person is recognisable in your content, you are confirming they said yes;
• screenshots, memes, or clips lifted from other sites or apps.

One thing is different: a YouTube link. You may put a link to a public YouTube video in a box. The video then plays from YouTube, inside YouTube's own player, and nothing is copied to this site; YouTube only allows this for videos whose channel has permitted embedding, and we check that before the post goes up. You are still responsible for what you link to, and a post is removed if the channel or the rights holder asks.

Every post you create requires you to tick a box confirming the content is yours or licensed to you, including any music, and that everyone shown agreed to be shown. That confirmation is recorded with your account, the time, and the version of these terms. You are responsible for what you post.

4. What is never allowed

• Sexual content, or anything sexualising a minor. The second is reported to the authorities, not just removed.
• Violence, threats, or harassment of anybody.
• Scams, or a post used to sell something you do not have.
• Gaming the vote: scripts, paid likes, or anything that is not a person tapping once.

5. If you break these rules

We remove the post. We may close your account without notice. Because there is no money in this service, there is nothing to refund and nothing to keep.

6. Copyright complaints and repeat infringers

If you hold rights in something posted without your permission, use the Report link at the bottom of every post page, or write to our designated agent below. Tell us what was posted, which post, and how to reach you. We act on reports quickly, and while a post is open that usually means removing it.

Repeat infringers lose their account. Two upheld copyright complaints against a creator and we close it permanently. There is no third chance.

7. Viewers: no account, one pick

You do not need an account to look or to pick. Your device is given an anonymous identity so that it can pick once per post. We do not know who you are and we do not try to find out.

8. Advertisements

A post page carries one advertisement box, labelled "Ad". The creator may place their own advertisement there; if they do not, we place one. Whoever placed the ad is responsible for it, including that it is truthful and that they have the right to use what is in it. Ads follow the same rules as everything else on this page.

9. How long things stay up

A post is public from its start time until its end time, stays up one more day showing the result, and is then deleted automatically — the pictures, the likes, and the record of it. We keep no copy. You can delete your own post sooner from your posts page.

10. What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be up, that a post will reach anybody, or that a like count reflects anything beyond taps. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what a creator posts or for anything that follows from it.

11. Ending it

Delete your account any time by writing to us. That removes your name and every post you created. We may end the service or your access to it at any time.

12. Changes

If we change these terms we change the date at the top, and the next post you create asks you to confirm the new version.
